Travel Doctors:
Dr Carolyn Holmes
Carolyn is a GP at Hamilton East Medical Centre with a special interest in Travel Medicine. She will have completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Travel Medicine through Otago University by the end of 2004. This includes papers in Travel and Tropical Medicine. She has traveled to over 20 countries and plans to visit many more in the future.
Dr Michael Kahan
Michael has been involved with Travel Medicine for a number of years having trained at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene in the UK. He has lectured on Travel Medicine and also written articles on travel health for the Waikato Times. Michael loves traveling and has visited many countries in Asia, Africa and Europe
Michael also provides advice to numerous companies on travel health as well as providing training and education for overseas aid organizations.
Travel Nurses:
We have a team of five of our practice nurses who are experienced in supporting our Travel Doctors. They have a keen interest in travel medicine and have a variety of travel experiences between them.
