IAMAT is an organization worth joining before you travel. They have a list of affiliated
doctors in most countries of the world.
Tourism Concern is a UK based organization working to raise awareness of the negative
impacts of tourism – economic , social, cultural and environmental, as well as offering
alternatives and a code of responsible travel.
The International Porter Protection group is working to improve the health and safety
conditions of mountain porters working in the tourism industry in Nepal, Pakistan, Africa
and South America.
