are highly accessible, open extended hours and have
a national facility for 24 hour communication. All
clinics are World Health Organisation (WHO) approved
for the provision of yellow fever vaccine.

The
Travel Doctor (TMVC) can act as your defacto medical officer for
problems relating to travel or illness on return from overseas.
The Travel Doctor (TMVC) utilises it own database software system
Walkabout 2000. It represents more than 10 years of research in
the discipline of Travel Medicine and is unique in itÕs capability
of looking after people who are globally mobile. The database may
be managed through The Travel Doctor (TMVC) through the corporate
headquarters in The Travel Doctor Adelaide or through the OH&S; Department
of the Company. In the first instance the Travel Doctor (TMVC) becomes
the defacto Travel Health Doctor while in the second the Group supports
the OH&S; Group of the company in itÕs Travel Health delivery. The
company medical officer is granted a license to use the Walkabout
2000 and this is supported by The Travel Doctor (TMVC).
The
Travel Doctor (TMVC) also offers post-travel clinical
support in the diagnosis and treatment of exotic illnesses
contracted during travel. All clinics are allied with
major teaching hospitals, and liaise with professionals
in the fields of microbiology and infectious disease.
As
a representative of the International Association for
Medical to Travellers (IAMAT), TMVC can also provide
information on English-speaking medical practitioners
in most regions of the world.
