Staff:

Doctors: Dr Jocelyn is the Travel Doctor Africa clinic director. She was born in and trained in South Africa and came to Tanzania three years ago. During this time she has lived as an expatriate in Arusha and Mwanza whilst traveling extensively throughout the region. She completed a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene in 2000. Dr Jocelyn has an excellent grasp of the standard and availability of medical facilities in the region.

Dr Kocher has run the Hindu Union Hospital for 15 years and has a wealth of experience in treating tropical diseases. The hospital has 10 beds, diagnostic facilities including a laboratory, which is able to do malaria tests, full blood counts, U&E;, urine and stool examinations. The hospital has a basic radiology facility. A dental facility is in the making.

The hospital has a fully functional eye unit, run by Dr Suzanna Wedner.

Registered Nurses: The hospital employs 7 nursing sisters, a medical assistant, lab technician and a radiographer.

Hours of Operation:

The hospital has a doctor on the premises 24 hours a day.

Clinic Specialities:

The TDA clinic provides primary health care to the local and expatriate community, an emergency stabilization and monitoring service and can provide travel related vaccinations and advice on the prevention and management of malaria.
