BSS Mission Statement - Our Purpose
The provision of comprehensive, quality health care services to the Cooma and District community its enterprises, organisations and hospitals through the development of a sustainable and ethical enterprise
Established in 1947, The Bombala Street Surgery in Cooma moved to its present location in 1982. Our GP's are seasoned travellers, having lived and worked overseas prior to settling in Cooma. As a rule they prefer to stay "on the beaten track", enjoying their creature comforts. The surgery's focus on preventative medicine has centred on immunisation and information and our nursing staff are all accredited by NSW State Health for immunisation. The practice's long relationship with SMEC , a corporation based in Cooma which provides engineering expertise to over 50 third world nations, has ensured a level of exposure to international travel concerns unusual for a rural practice.

Booking a long appointment. If you wish an insurance medical, review of a complex health problem, counseling for emotional difficulties, or a second opinion please book a longer appointment. This may involve a longer wait but your problem will get the attention it deserves.
